World Tour - Rules

hi guys - i would like to fly the world tour but obviously i am not the correct rank as of yet..... so my question is: am i able to start the world tour in my current rank as by the time i complete the Americas part of the tour i should be a senior commercial captain at that stage... and when applying for my first part of the world tour award ( World Tour Blue Award ) i will actually be the correct rank!  :s

So is this ok to do? i really hope so as i'd like to start the world tour this evening

The requierments sections states this:
Yo must atleast be Senior Comercial Captain(SCC) to fly this tour.
So you must wait until you are SCC to start the tour.

Then you also could say I should be able to fly class 5 because when I'm complete the flight I got enough hours to be class 5.

well i would never say that but i was only talking in context of doing the world tour thats all - why is it that you have to be a SCC to fly it anyway? i am more than capable of flying any of the legs i have looked at :8

Well it was just an example of the situation not that is was actually the case. And I'm sure that you can handle all the flghts of the world tour. but then you have all the other tours you can fly to get to the SCC. It's always nice to have a goal to strive for.

but the EHM world tour is not suitable for a little child, which means the little child has to grow up to handle the world tour, Legs, plane, airports and difficult situations

Now the serious part, like in real life, a young pilot with less flight hours won't take part in intercontinantal flight, specially not as a Pilot in Command!
Even you got the best gratuade, you have to earn this position/ job, so what they (you ) need is  experience and practice with much larger airplane and also to handle difficult situations/ problems.

That is the spirit of our rules and not particulary in our tours, but also in our rank system, otherwise everyone who joined our airline, get recruit as an Air Transport pilot.

In the time you wrote this kind of question, you could already sit in the cockpit, with runing  engines and get the hours which you are still need.....

Haha, it's a tricky tour but VERY rewarding... I'm on the homeward half of it now and I'm sad, because I can only fly it once for EuroHarmony. The Americas were a VERY fun part of the tour, especially in South America through the Andes, so my advice to you is to fully enjoy the limited time you have in South America!

It is a great goal to strive for and I hope you are able to begin soon...

Well Brian, you can blame sort of blame me for that requierment. Because I was one of those that where involved in making it.
The reason is among other things that it's the longest and biggest tour. Also there lots of other tours people could fly before. And as Christian said having set the requierment so gives you something to strive for.
Also flying the world tour is not to be looked at as a right. Where you fly this tour because you have the right to it. It should be looked at as a privilege. Remember not many VA's gives you that privilege.

Hi Brian,

I apologize for the comments from Kendy Mathes. Definately he didn't saw the whole picture here while talking to you.

We dont' call child to any member of our Virtual Airline. For us, every pilot, besides his class, rank, age or way of talk, deserves full respect and needs to be treated as is.

Logically this VA is to give you fun and pleasure to play with. So, all I can ask you is to stay with us here and do some hours to get more challenges at front of you.

I'm not going to involve myself in MT business. But I think you have read Kendy's comment wrong. His first comment was a response to Brians own, where said he was like a child. I think he meant it in a hurmous way, and not as an insult or calling Brian a child. At least that's the way I read it.
But I'll let you guy work it out yourself

Another thing to take into consideration is that according to EHM rules you can only fly one tour at a time. I would recommend pilots not to begin the tour unless they are positive they will finish it. Remember its 150 legs. I mean, I started more than 2 years ago (03/10/04) and i'm still about 10 legs from finishing! Anyways, you do get a bunch of new experiences from it. I recommend flying it with FSP to give it more suprises (war zones, risk of failures...)

You can always start the Capitals of Europe tour when you reach CC (about 3 hours away for you). I finished 21 legs in 22 hours, so I guess when you'd finish that tour, you've got enough hours for the World Tour
