System time or FS time?
« on: December 11, 2006, 11:30:22 am »
I have a quick question to ask.

I checked the operations manual and had a quick scope around the EHM Website for an answer, but couldn't find one. I'm due to start my first flight, and after having a quick check of the PIREP form, it says that I need to log my flight time (Engines on, Departure and so on). So far, my guess is that this has to be system time. Am I right?

One other question:

Do I begin the flight slightly early in order to begin my Taxi at the departure time listed on the Flight Schedule? i.e. My flight is at 16.50 (system time) so should I start at about 16.40 (system time) to get everything ready, then depart (Taxi) at 16.50?

(Just for the record, not meaning to sound picky - the Operations manual still says that there will be no transcontinental flights within EHM, obviously it hasn't been updated since the Atlanta HUB! Just thought someone should know incase it ever causes confusion!)

Hi,

its system time i think and you dont have to follow the flight schedules exactly, it is just an option for pilots who prefer to fly it at specific times.

Right, so I could begin a flight scheduled for 16.50, right now, even though it's 11.37 GMT (system time)? As long as I set the FS time to 16.50 and then submit my system time on the PIREP?

Sorry, I know it seems so basic, but I don't want to mess up on my first day ;)
