Active Sky Graphics question
« on: December 30, 2006, 03:14:08 pm »
Hello All
I am probably being immensely dim and mindbogglingly stupid BUT!
With activesky you get various themes that you can use IE "wild blue yonder" "afternoon bliss"etc are these like the FS9 themes that you just load in and use without downloading the weather from the internet? For instance if i select Afternoon bliss send that to FS9 and then open the main Active sky interface do i just press refresh and thats it?Surely i don't download the real weather from the active sky servers as well ,as these would override the"Afternoon bliss"
I am a bit confused. Can you help please.
cheers Andy

I think its the textures used for each part of the weather, so if you select a different set of cloud textures, these would be used.

Hello Tim
.If i selected afternoon bliss and then downloaded the real world weather and there was a steaming great hurricane at my dep point what is the point of the afternoon delight textures?surely i would want raging storm textures.Perhaps you are meant to download the weather first and then select the appropriate textures.
Anyway thanks for your thoughts
cheers Andy

You would still get a nasty storm, you how the clouds appear would change, not totally sure what it does. :$

It's just a texture set. Set it to WX-Influenced for the most realistic experience, and if you are manually choosing the weather then choose an appropriate theme.
