Have just carried out another propilot flight on the A320 - 200 Airbus Heathrow to Manchester.
Everything went normally until I was instructed by Northolt approach to climb to 12000 ft dialled up the appropriate setting on the autopilot setting and started to climb, climb rate selected on the VS was 1800+   Suddenly the Aircraft stall light came on, quickly shut off autopilot and dipped the nose but no avail, the a/c plunged like a stone.  This is the fourth time this happened to me with this aircraft.    pse advise

Are the fuel Pumps on? Perhaps the engines are being starved of fuel and shut off...
Also check the a/c is 'clean', for example check the flaps are up, and make sure the spoilers and speed brakes arent hanging out....

Hello
Did you check to see that the auto throttle was actually working?I have had problems in the past with this particular panel. You probably know this but as you climb you sometimes have to reduce your climbrate but thats usually as you get to the 25000 plus altitude i would have thought 18000 at 1800 was okay.Make sure Pitot switch is on too.
cheers Andy
