Dear pilots,
As many of you have noticed, in the last twelve months we have been suffering from an increasing number of errors on the website caused by the fact that we are outgrowing our server. These include the dreaded “Quota exceeded” which appears when our website uses 20% of the shared server processing resources. For this reason, we have taken the decision to migrate our website when our current hosting deal expires to a more powerful “Virtual Private Server”.
Of course, this will enable us to offer a faster and more reliable service to our members and it also means that we can start developing features that would not be possible on our current server. Like all progress, unfortunately, this will come at a quite considerable cost. Although we foresee this cost will be met largely by the management team members, we have taken the decision to give members the opportunity to make a donation to the airline to help with these running costs.
The donation system will use PayPal and will be available from your Private Pilots page by logging in to the “Express Login” from the main page and by clicking the link at the top of the page.
Let me stress that we are NOT starting to charge for membership. This donation system is purely voluntary for those who can afford to help and get pleasure from the airline. We feel we must make it clear, EuroHarmony is now and will remain a FREE service for the foreseeable future.
