Dear Pilots,
As you may have seen, today is EuroHarmony's Birthday. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our Pilots and Management both past and present for making this airline the great place it is today, six years after its first flight!
In the coming year we expect to see some major developments at EHM and I am sure we can start filling in some of the details real soon.
The first major project as you know will be the server migration. We are nearing the total we need to get buy the VPS for the first year and we will be looking at moving over sometime in the Summer as long as we get the funds sorted out and we can get the right contract for our server. I would just like to personally thank all the members that have very kindly donated to the fund. As promised, I will be posting our first months balance sheet in a few days time and you will all have a clearer idea of what we have and what we are aiming for.
I would also like to tell you about an improvement we are putting in place soon for our new pilots and this will be a series of five tutorial emails that will be sent over the first five days after a member joins. This will guide them through setting up their account, making their first flight and finally switching to the Flight Logger. We hope to have this in place during the next month all being well.
Of course, our Fleet department is still working away behind the scenes on the division repaints of the new livery and we should be able to give you further news of this project shortly. Whilst on the topic, we will be starting the beta testing of our main division planes for FSX in the next couple of months. If anybody who is running FSX would like to participate in the beta testing, please email Robert or myself.
New missions are planned to come on line next month, so mission fans, stay tuned. Razza is working away on them as we speak and an announcement will be coming soon.
The Online flying department is working on a major event for this month to celebrate our birthday. Although there will be an opportunity for some long haul action, there will also be short haul flights for those that have limited time.... We really hope that you can join us for this one and show our freinds online that we are still here as strong as ever!
I hope this gives you a little insight in to what is going on behind the scenes, this is only a very small part of the management work load at the moment, so please don't push us for deadlines, we will get the stuff to you as soon as we are sure it is ready for you.
