OK, I have been flying with the flight logger for almost all of the tour now, but have come across an error on EHM-A621  Derby (EGBD) - Silverstone (EGBV) flight.

Every attempt to select the flight brings up a runtime error '3021'  .. Either BOF or EOF is true, or the current record has been deleted. Requested operation requires a current record.

I mean I can fly and report manualy, but just thought i'd point this out.

Hi Patrick,

Firstly... you are a week early, the grand prix is next weekend! :P

Ok, seriously, we are aware of the problems with Silverstone and we are working on correcting it or more precisely... removing it. :)

Thanks for the info and enjoy the tour!

Well if you tried to fly to Derby Airport since 1998 in real life you would have to land on the top of a Toyota factory so hehe...

Well the advice we have given in the past as there is no Silverstone scenery for FS2004 is to fly a Cessna or something similar from our VFA fleet (I flew the Cirrus S20 there) and land on the field where Silverstone is supposed to be......

Latitude:         52°04'N (52.067)
Longitude:   1°00'W (-1.000)
Elevation:    508 ft (155 m)

I f I remember rightly this is almost 10 miles due south of the DAVENTRY VOR (DTY-116.4)

Hope this helps, cheers,

No Derby is still in the scenery, but the airfield was taken over by Toyota to build Cars

Matt,

I think you are a little confused. I live only 30 mins from Egginton Aerodrome which is more commonly known as "Derby Airfield" (ICAO: EGBD) and have taken lessons there myself recently....

http://www.derbyaeroclub.com/index.html
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Derby_Airfield

Toyota Derby was indeed built on the site of the original Derby Airfield or "Burnaston" as it was known but when Burnaston closed (*EDIT) the Derby Aero Club built their own airfield only a couple of miles away at Egginton (and thus outside of the controlled airspace of the East Midlands TMA) and this took the name "Derby Airfield" with it. Burnaston was always planned to be closed as most operations had already been moved only a short distance (about 7 miles I think) to Castle Donnington which is more commonly known as "Nottingham East Midlands" today.

So in short, the EGBD airfield that is included with FS9 is the new Egginton airfield not the original Burnaston airfield on which the Toyota UK plant is located.

The UK tour has been modified, but it will require some checking and probably some modification to the database.

I say it shall be ready by next week end max.

I have finshed the tour (using the advice from phil), would that mean flying the last 2 legs again, or can I count the tour as completed ?

Well, give it 24 hours for the Auto Award script to run and hopefully you should see the reward!

Well done mate, hope you enjoyed it!

Ah ok Philip that would make sense,

I knew Toyota built on the old Burnaston Airfield which was known as Derby Airfield but when i googled it i found no references to the new one so thought there wasnt one!  Ah well, should really learn about the city I live in eh lol
