Finally, Project Opensky released their brand new project: v4 Boeing 747-400.

The airplane looks beautiful outside, and flies very nice. It have many new and nice features that you cant find even at payware airplanes. We can expect later a detailed virtual cockpit too for the plane. This is the model that is finally worth to combine with the iFly 747 panel, and from this we could get a completely free Queen of the Skies package !

It looks so good, that EHM is probably going to change the quite old Meljet visual model to this one.

Fantastic ! It looks great and Posky planes are always of really high quality so this would definitely be great in our fleet

Unbelievable beautiness, Robert. I'll make a few tests to see the difference with PMDG model, but the idea of changing old Meljet for this beauty ( with iFly panel ) is a top!

How do I download and install this thing??

I went to the POSKy site but it's very confusing what I have to download and what to combine with what, as there are like 10ish different packages and such, without a clear explanation :{

Rico,

Just click on the downloads section of their site and you'll see all their aircraft listed. This one is the 747-400 VERSION 4 - you'll see it says NEW against it in red. You need to download the FDE package and choose from one of the regions to download the model (so for the Lufthansa one Robert's shown above, choose Europe).

After that you just need to read the readme file within the downloads and all should be revealed! I haven't downloaded yet but I've never had any problems in the past with Posky stuff...

Well,

although I like the form of these engines more too, EuroHarmony have a contract with Rolls Royce, and we buy planes with their engines. Rolls Royce produces the most efficient engines usually, and we try to save the environment

And before anybody starts complaining on the image quality, it was made at 1680x1050 with AA

Robert, I'm really having problems installing this thing.. no matter what I tried, it didn't show up in FS, or when it did, it didn't work properly..

I'm at world's end here.. is it possible for you to make an auto-installer ? Like the EHM fleet has?

Btw, which engines are those in your screenies?

Try to post your aircraft.cfg file here so we can help you out , specially the part where you add the airplane.

Hahh, it was long time ago I think it came in 2 packages, and (perhaps) you need to manually add the airplane to the CFG... I do not remember.

I think these are the GE engines. RR is always 1 tube, GE is 1 long tube with a small cone, and P&W uses the very short tube and long cone shape engines.

It seems the texture folder name is very weird, maybe that is the problem ?
