Door opening

hi guys, i've been searching the forum for something with problems with the doors at different a/c in fs2004. Beacuse somethimes i can't open the second door whit the standard command Shift+E+2, but most of the times it works well..

the most common situation is with the Bae 146-300 and the large cargo door, i'll get it open with the command, but then i can't get it shut again, because of that the Shift+E+2 opens or closes the main door instead...
now today the PMDG Beech 1900D did the samething, so i got curious

have anyone experienced something like this?

Yeah some planes say "animated cargo and second door, press shift-e-2 to activate them" on the readme file and then it never worked for me... then i cant find a place in the keyboard assignments to change that, so I've given up :S

ah well, but for me it works sometimes, and the next time it won't work.. so maybe i can get the door open with the keys, but can't get it to shut again..
and i don't think it's a good idea to fly the whole way with the doors opened ;D

When i press the Shift+e+2 what it does is Shift+e, then Shift+2, so it opens the door and brings up some
panel. :S
Anyone got a solution for this?

Your using the wrong key sequens.

Try this":   Shift+E ,   release Shift and E
and then push quick the 1, 2 or 3 or 4 keys. depending on witch airplane in use.

If you press SHIFT+2 that is a panel command. Shift + xxx opens up a new panel, like Radio, Map, GPS, etc...

Many planes do not use the inbuilt variables, just like the Shift+E+2 combination. PMDG for example have a keyboard assignement configurator, which you can assign keys to commands, even if those already had a default key in FS :|

You always need to read the airplane Readme, as the modelers usually put down their comments on their model specialities

Yeh but as I said, in some read mes it goes like "press shift+e+2 for cargo door" Ill try this.

I've had this problem many times before, Shfit+E , let go and quickly press 2 is the correct command but sometimes due to something, the computer is a bit laggy and picks up the command as 2 seperate ones and ends up opening/closing the main door, if you're lucky, you might just hit it fast enough to close the cargo door :s
