Flight Logger screwed my flight
« on: January 20, 2008, 05:13:47 pm »
I was going to do my 1st flight of the year. With so many gadgets to take care of in order to fly (Flight Sim Commander, IvAp multi-PC, EuroHarmony Flight Logger, FS2004) I had to start all over again several times because some of these programs where crashing.

Finally I was ready without application problems, then a CENTER controller appeared in my dep. airport. I asked for clearance but that "minute" was taking WAY TOO LONG. I cancelled my flight plan on IVAO and decided to fly it offline (my time is limited, the ATC did not take into consideration that).

So I took off and set the AP for a little while so that I could browse some things in the EHM flight logger and what??? when I clicked on the timetable it put my a/c back at the starting airport!!!

Now I was piss** off :( All my time was gone in one problem or another so no flight for this weekend either :'( My next slot would be next weekend if no social commitments take place...

So here my suggestion for Flight Logger and a very important one! when the user starts a new log it should lock the current log so that doing any other selection does not result in these annoying interactions with the simulator! Or at least warn the user if he really wants to do it...

This problem has been addressed elsewhere.

[sarcasm on]
I think the issue can firmly be put down to a demanding user and a piece of out of date software!!!! The new flight Logger is currently under development and I am sure the developers will endeavor to cover every angle and make sure that trigger happy pilots can not press the wrong button.... It may take them 6 months longer to to cover all these possibilities so please expect a delay in the launch of the new flight logger!!!!!

Now in all seriousness.... There are wars taking place, people starving, unholy diseases and unimaginable suffering taking place in this world, why not get "Piss** off" about that instead!!!!
