Attention everyone, a list of the assigned tailnumbers has been started on post #1 within this thread. Please make sure you check your name and ID are present, otherwise let us know of any necessary correction.

To spice up things, let us say that for once we won't have aircraft dedicated to the event; every aircraft that you successfully fly to Castlegar will remain in the regular fleet, with the original tail number and the flight history that will show your achievment :)

I took the girl for a spin and she's really easy to fly. One thing struck me, though... after the engines start, the Generator switches go off, which made me lose both engines in my first fly. Got them restarted just a couple hundred feet from the ground, I'm glad I didn't wait till the event to test fly.

I also took a couple of shots to commemorate the birth of this division and more or less my return to flying and flight simming  :)

Mariano,

Some really nice pictures there - I particularly like number 4 ;)

Good tip about the generators too, definitely a thing to check before you take off, following the included kneeboard checklist should help  ;D

@ Bruce - glad you've got it working now ;)

I've added myself to the list on page 1 - looks like I'd been missed off  :'(

Hi Dominic,

if it´s not too late to sign up for the event, I´d like to come back to the airline that way!

Kind regards

I did a terrible onfocused approach, came in way too high, virtually stopped the plane 500' above the runway threshold, descended and landed very softly less than halfway down the runway. Even I might be able to get this plane through the event, but then my PP record says something else.

Having just retouched the text of all the ProPilot penalties, and remembering that Ragnar's post was here, just thought I should remind everyone that it'll be ever so easy to exceed the G-loading and/or descent speed limits in this plane, so be careful out there ;)

What's the max v/speeds never to exceed? 2500?

Hi Mariano if you see this link http://www.fly-euroharmony.com/site/propilot/popups/popup_view_penalties_list.php.
 there are three penalties:
11   Touchdown Vertical Speed more than 250 feet/min   220.00   You landed with a high rate of descent. Company operating procedures require pilots to land at less than 250 feet per minute.
12   Touchdown Vertical Speed more than 500 feet/min   400.00   You landed with an extremely high rate of descent. Company operating procedures require pilots to land at less than 250 feet per minute.
17   Maximum 4500 fpm Vertical Speed exceeded   240.00   Company operating procedures require a descent at no more than 4500 feet per minute vertical speed.

Good flights and see you in the event ;)

And if it's the DHC-6 specific values you're after, they should be on the knee board. from the DHC-6 reference information (for FSX, don't know if FS2004 data is different) the VMO is 170 KIAS.

Vmo is the same for both FS2004 and FSX versions at 170 kts ;)

Well our mechanics have been very busy with the new planes to make sure they're all ready for the Event. In fact, they decided to upgrade the avionics a bit for us too  ;)

If you download the appropriate panel.cfg file from the two below (one for FS2004 and one for FSX) then paste it into your "ehmv4-wild-dhc6" plane's panel folder within the sim, you will find that several instruments have been improved or moved so that the 2D panel matches the VC better and that more functions are available from within the VC, such as TCAS within the FS2004 version.

The main installers will be updated shortly too ;)

Enjoy !

Hi Mariano if you see this link http://www.fly-euroharmony.com/site/propilot/popups/popup_view_penalties_list.php
 there are three penalties:
11   Touchdown Vertical Speed more than 250 feet/min   220.00   You landed with a high rate of descent. Company operating procedures require pilots to land at less than 250 feet per minute.
12   Touchdown Vertical Speed more than 500 feet/min   400.00   You landed with an extremely high rate of descent. Company operating procedures require pilots to land at less than 250 feet per minute.
17   Maximum 4500 fpm Vertical Speed exceeded   240.00   Company operating procedures require a descent at no more than 4500 feet per minute vertical speed.

What usually gets me though is the G-force penalties: :)

18   Maximum load factor (G) allowed   400.00   Company operating procedures require a maximum G loading of no more than 2.5 G.
19   Maximum load factor (G) allowed   500.00   Company operating procedures require a maximum G loading of no more than 2.5 G.

Good weather and forecast for El Paso today, just wait a few hours for the sun to go up and I'm off...   ;D

Sorry, Manuel, but PP events are time restricted events. And the time window for this event was in late 2010 ... :(

PP events are fun! Everyone gets a certain window of time ( a couple of days, to maximum a week) in which to fly each leg. Also, each participant gets their "own" plane (tailnumber) to complete the event with. Be late, or crash your plane, and you are out of it. It's real fun to do, because you are bound to come across fellow EHM-ers on-line doing the same leg, and you can fly together :)

But I'm afraid you'll have to wait until the next event is announced. Usually there's one or two per year, so keep your ear too the ground ...
