Having problems logging in to the Forums
« on: March 25, 2004, 11:26:29 pm »
Evening,

Just about 1700 today, I connected to the forums from work, then noticed that it was asking for my username and password on the "front" page.  As I was only expecting to browse, I didn't worry too much.

Well, after an evening fighting against my FreeBSD box (which I still haven't finished!) I fired up my laptop and thought I'd have a trawl of the various forums (EHM, IVAO-GB and IVAO-HQ) and again, I'm not logged in. If I hit the login button (I always have Firefox remember my various forums passwords, just in case) it looks like it ignores the login attempt, but if I deliberately put in the wrong password it tells me I got it wrong.

Is there something fundamentally wrong happening?

I think you are trying to access the forums through this link: http://forum.euroharmony.com. This causes the described problem and has been discussed before in this thread: http://www.euroharmony.com/~forum/viewthread.php?tid=20 (last posts).

However, I'll make some changes to the server in a few minutes that makes it possible to access the forum through forum.euroharmony.com again. In summary: nothing to worry about;)

[edit]
It seems that it is taking a bit longer than a few minutes. Expect it to be ready after I get back from work later this evening.

Ok, the forum is accesible through http://forum.euroharmony.com again.

You may need to update some more bookmarks. The directory structure of the website changed during the recovering work so that it is more clear and easier to use.

In the Friday evening and during the whole Saturday.

I still go to school, but I have my final exams in May.
