Flight Logger Suggestion

Well, two of them actually :D

1. The completion of the database would be welcomed by all pilots (I'm sure)...

2. The ability to have the flight logger submit the PIREP to the IVAO VA system in addition to EHM would save those of us on IVAO a wee bit of typing. Given the 255 character Route/Comments field limitation on IVAO, can I suggest the addition of a route field in the logger specifically for submission to IVAO? You could then concatenate the route and comments fields for the EHM PIREP (or, equally, mandate that the first thing in the comments box be the route, perhaps with a delimiter, then submit that as the route/comments field for IVAO...)

Sounds great Murray.
I think it sounds like it would take lots of work and planning to connect it to the IVAO system though.
Nice thinking

I doubt that IVAO will allow us to connect to their database and insert data in it... :s

I wasn't so much thinking of plugging directly into their database (although that would be ever so easy for our end of things...) but more injecting data into the online form...

Having now filled in an IVAO PIREP, almost all the data is there on our PIREP (apart from distance, I got that from the online flight planner I've been using...)

Ooh, and before I forget, I thought of another suggestion (don't know if the functionalitu is already in the logger or not, haven't had a chance to check yet...): substring searches in the ICAO (and City, might as well...) text boxes on the timetable. So, to find all the flights into Heathrow from France, you would enter EGLL in the Destination and LF (maybe with an asterisk "*") and you get a list of all the flights departing French airports going to Heathrow.
