The day we have all seen coming from afar, now has arrived: EuroHarmony is winding down.
With a touch of sadness because the inevitable is upon us, but also with pride for all that we have accomplished over the years, we have decided that it is now time to retire our VA.
The number of active pilots, and subsequently the number of flights, has decreased over the last few years to a level that does not warrant keeping the VA "alive". What would be needed to get a new influx of pilots (a new flight logger that is compatible with current versions of flight sims, a new freeware fleet with EHM liveries, a new website version) is realistically not going to happen. So we have decided to retire the VA from this point forward.
This means that the website will remain up and running, at least for the foreseeable future, and that you will still be able to fly with your EHM callsign, file your PIREPs (either manually, of through FlightLogger), but there will be no more support when issues arise, and no more manual checking of PIREPs. The forum will become read-only too, at some point in the near future, so that at least the information in there is still accessible.
There will be only one more new event:
A final flight to farewell our VA.
It all started on the 29th of April, 2001 with the first flight with EHM callsign form Zürich (LSZH) to Bern (LSZB). So it seemed fitting to repeat that flight as a final (online if you want to) PP event on our 25th anniversary. For online pilots: EOBT will be at around 1830Z
