I'm still coming. Right now in Birmingham, it is very very humid, and raining, and yes, thunderstorms expected, so this is either going to turn out the most exciting event, or a big mess!

I just started a test flight, and my FMC can't recognise the SIDS. Just so I know, do I need the new Airac cycle, I've just installed it, but I haven't tried it out yet.

You install the AIRAC cycle first
then goto http://planepath.com - download the Sid/star files and install. (Terminal Proceedures > PMDG) This is a self installing file.

Then back to Navdata.at and install the All-in-one package.... This is just a .zip file and you need to extract these SID/STARS to:

 L:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 9\PMDG\SIDSTARS

Your drive letter will be different, if prompted, overwrite the ones allready in there!

I dont know what sid you will use at EBBR - i will find out with razza in 1 hour, however at manchester you will be using the Dayne2a arrival.

thanks. At the second website though, the installation is exactly the same as the AIRAC cycle at Navdata, but never mind, thanks for the help!;D

Well, I'm doing the test flight now, and everything programmed fine, except UL160, so I'm afraid, I'll go direct to LAM. I can;t be bothered to install anotehr 600 files lol!:o

thats no probs, However Enter RAPIX instead of the airway as i need to you pass over that intersection. For people who can get that airway to work, then there is no need to enter RAPIX as the airway will take you across it!

Also you will here me say "Trent" quite alot, basicly thats the name for the VOR TNT!

Ok. That's no problem. I just want to add, I'm going into Birmingham, so then I might have dinner a bit later, so that means that I won't be exactly on time for departure, I'll be a bit late. Is that ok?

No wonder!!! LOL! I'll try that on the actual flight. If it still doesn't, work, I'll enter RAPIX

It's ok, I was alot quicker than I thought, so I should be on time now.

Just so everyone knows, in Birmingham, we are having sudden amounts of rain, and lightning and thunder. Right now, it has stopped, but at 0200Z, it was really, really bad. I know because I was stuck in the middle of it shopping at the bullring.

It's one of those Television reports:

"A disaster occured to 6 flights with Euroharmony leaving EBBR today. Some planes dropped out of the sky, and one even fell over during takeoff! It's a real disaster here. 6 planes went in, 2 came out. if that's not to bad, don't even let us mention the ATC at EBBR!"

Mucho apologias...

The SO decided she wanted to get shopping out of the way tonight (read "now!"...) and as those of us with a few years under our belt know, they're not called "she who must be obeyed" for nothing; only just got back.

Having said that, I was having absolutely no luck getting the FMC to do LNAV (was happy to VNAV for some reason though), so I really wasn't that upset to chuck it in...

that's a shame you didn't come. It was alright. I over-reacted a bit earlier. I think we should still re-schedule it though, because it's sad to end the event with not many people making it.

Well - we will see -

Everyone except Ian and Tim, had many problems, i myself had developed a spyware/virus infestation from somewhere..... seemed to get worse whilst using ivac and many people did not make it. However just prepae for the long flight event next month. This time, no excuses :P :D

I'm going to refly the event today (1100Z ish...), need to try to iron the gremlins outta my PM setup afore my MCP hardware turns up (I'm assured it's on it's way from Candadia), so any of you that want another go at it are welcome to join me - Note: this is not a "repeat" of the event, it just me flying a flight and inviting anyone that wants to to join me.

@Ben: we try to make the long events 5+ hrs!
