How can I get 55 points penalty for not setting to standard pressure at 18000 if I did it at 5000 which is the TA for ESSA?
Maybe PP doesn't recognize manual settings so no matter what the TA is so we still  need to press B at 18000?
Anyhow, I will do it from now and on!:%

Yes, you need to press the B button upon passing 18000ft, even if you have set it lower to 2992mb

Thanks Christian, I will do it.
BTW, I couldn't connect to EHM TS. Jaap mentioned to do it through the webpage. How can I do it? Thanks in advance.

Hi Hector,

The quickest way to connect to the EHM TS server is to open up the Teamspeak 2 application.

Under the Connection menu, click Connect. That should bring up a new window to "Connect to Server".

Right click in the main pane where it says "-Servers"  and then select add a server, it will give you a new server name, rename it something like EHM and then press enter.

Click on the server name you have just added and then you should have a list of options on the right hand side.

Under server address type: teamspeak.fly-euroharmony.com

and then add your Id and first name as your nickname, eg EHM1749-Hector

then press connect and hey presto you are in!

Thanks Phil. Just did it and works fine.
It's my fault I did not ask for this long time ago.

No Problem, it is normally a very quiet place, it would be nice if we could get a bit more activity in there! :)

Thanks Robert!!

Now just to clarify, do i have to use the 1st waypoint in the INS to click the coordinates for updating it or can i use any of the 9?

can i only use a waypoint that i have passed?

and can i use a VOR/DME thats a waypoint along my route or do i have to use a VOR/DME not in my route?

Thanks!

Javier,

You must use a VOR DME station, because the INS will update its position from the radio signals it receives through the NAV radios. It is preferrable to use a VOR station offside your route, because the distance changes more slowly than it would be along your route. The updating is advised at every some 500 nm. Therefore we inserted the green UPD rows to the flightplan with an available VOR station, so you do not need a map to look for one. ;)

Thanks for sharing the links explaining how to use the INS.
Worked fine and I also used the INS for the first time. This event seems promissing I already liked the first two legs.

Here are two screenshotsfrom my ESSA -> EKCH leg.

Thanks and cheers
Sven

That should be the Oresund Bridge connecting Denmark with Sweden.

I guessed we would see it on the right side, and not to mention that near the airport it is ended in a tunnel ! ;D

Yes yes, your right!
Flightsim hey! Not everything shown there is correct ;)

The Oresund Bridge is the only bridge near the airport I thought of. So which one could that be? I can't see any other bridges on Satelite photos.

Cheers Sven

Not all bridges displayed in FS are "physical" bridges. I noticed a lot of "bridges" across the Danube in places where roads are discontinued but linked by ferry. So I think it's related to the way roads and railroads are defined in FS, if it thinks it's the same road a bridge is displayed whenever a water body is to be crossed.

It's true that the strait between Sweden and Denmark is "slightly" wider than the Danube River, but this is the only explanation I can think of. Except if bridge construction projects occur REALLY fast nowadays ;D

Hello Javier ! I think there was a version which produced such error at update. Do you have the latest version installed ? (First remove the old one ;) )

Just a hint: the freeware scenery of Ruzyne contains invisible blocks near the beautiful airways. Take care on the apron !

EDIT: Arrived to Ruzyne ! ;D I found a mistake in the aircraft CFG. The DC-8 is not set as Heavy, but it is ! Modify the Aircraft.CFG at the following line:

atc_heavy=1

This way you will get the proper size of gate after arrival ;)

Fuel numbers:
First hour: 18-21000 lbs including climb and taxi
Every hour at cruise: 14-16000 depending on wind conditions
Descent: 8-10000 depending on traffic and including taxi to terminal.

I don't want to be a pain in the neck but next Sunday 6 evening I will take a plane to Bogota, Colombia and expect to be back the following Saturday late night.
Since I am already in Geneve, I hope that for Sunday early morning the leg for Lisbon will be available. It is my only chance.
