Well, I normally set the heading to 180 when taking off from TNCM as per the charts. With the setting shown in your presidential plane you were heading for disaster;D

Good pilots keep their number of landings equal to their number of takeoffs. Takeoffs are optional but landings are Mandatory.

Only thing I can think of, because I don't know the plane, are the flaps configuration. I watched a video showing the real takeoff of Martinair MD-11 from EHAM using 25 degrees. Are 15 degrees enough in TNCM?
Other than that, I give up.

Correct!

The flaps configuration was incorrect. You can see the word "FLAPS".
If everything was correct for T/O the rectangle should be empty green.

The MD-11 of Martinair used a 25 degree flaps because it was heavy. On mine I used about 18 degrees.

And btw, the MD-11 uses the "DIAL-A-FLAP" feature where you can configure it to use any degree from 15 to 25 :)

It seems to be a nice plane. Is that the PMDG version?
I am just switching to a desktop. I will run both FS9 and FSX until I get confident with FSX. I will use Windows XP since I don't like Vista. My son, a computer engineer just assembled it choosing different components.
Last night I was running FS9 in the new one with a 21" monitor and could see what I missed all this time.
I read in PMDG page that the FS9 version will be ready soon. How this compare with the DC-10?. I was very fond of this aircraft.
