I have often wondered about that. Unfortunatly, unless you are willing to make your own or you are high up in the management, you will have to do without.

Cheers

Indeed, private planes are only available
to members of the management who
request one for business purposes.

Oh, of course it also depends on how much
free time Gergely has available to do the
custom repaint.

Ciao ciao!

Yup so it looks like common folks like us have no chance at all unless you join the management! good luck! ;)

Every Management member has the right for one priate aircraft in EHM livery, with custom colors of the stripes and custom tail logo. I have a VC-10 (I used to have a Beech 60 too but it won't work in fs2004 and no new model was released), Maarten has a Commander 520, Simao and Guillermo have Fokkers etc.

Some EHM contests have as first prize a private EHM aircraft. For example the story contest, and it was won by EHM695 Scott (he requested a private TU-154). :)

I wouldn't mind becomming a member of management. It looks very interesting. I would like to become the next EGLL hub manager ;D I am however only 16 and do not know if there is an age limit ;) Personally I do not think there should be as I am legally able to fly solo so I don't see why I can't manage a virtual hub?!

Cheers

I dont think theres a limit... well the time when we chose the ne EHAM manager the limit was 13 I remember... or was it the EGLL to be chosen? I dnt quite remember but it was 13.

Hey then send an email to Gergely applying for the new LGAV position, well, or maybe it isnt that interesting I remember I didnt apply for the EHAM (or EGLL) one b/c I decided to stay in LPPT as a pilot.

Anyway, cheers!

Alex;)

P.S. The requested planes are very nice indeed, I wouldnt mind having an MD-11 (or is that too big:%) in own private colors.

If I did ever become a member of management (that seems very unlikely:[)
I would still be looking for a nice plane :%
I might be like a 757 or something or even just a parachute :]

Thanks for the confidence booster Alex ;) The only problem is I am taking my GCSE's from this week till the end of June. So I probably don't have the time right now.

Cheers
Rich

P.S. Tim, you don't sound very confident in you flying! ;D

Just kidding Tim, just commenting on the fact that you wouldn't mind a parachute as your private jet.

A long time ago, there was a screenshot contest. The winner of that contest won a private aircraft of choice, but Gergely also decided the management members could have their own private aircraft as well. I never flew with my private a/c, though.

There currently is at least one member of
the management that is younger then you
or almost the same age.

But it's not so much the age that count.
Commitment, patience, communication
skills, creativity are far more important.

Ciao ciao!

One could argue that a "maybe" implies
a lack of commitment... ;)

And if you read the sentence again, you
will notice that I was referring to -communication skills-.

Other skills that tend to be useful in a
relatively complex website as EHM's
are programming skills, especially with
PHP and MySQL. Both are used for the
generation of our dynamically generated
pages.

Something that has never been exploited
so far at EHM, is the possibility to use
Gmax not only to build new planes models
but also to create new frame-rate friendly
scenary, either EHM related or simply
related to the area you are interested in.
It could be a monument/building in your
area, an hangar at one of EHM's hub or
anything that you fancy and it's appropriate
to be part of the landscape in Flight Simulator.

As 3D modelling and texturing is not quite
simple, this would definitely show
commitment, patience, skills and creativity.

-AND- if you ever want to get into the
videogame industry it will probably turn
out useful for your curriculum.

Ciao ciao!

lol when i said maybe i meant i may not be smart enough for it.......as in things like programming.......:P

And what do you mean by useful to my curriculum?

I was planning to try out working with Gmax after my GCSE at the end of this year but does the software cost a lot?

And tim you're trying to sign up with?

Gmax is free if you have FS2002. When asked for registration, there is a link that says you use FS2002... I guess it's the same for FS2004.
