Gmax has got to be the most boring and difficult program I've ever worked with.

Hmm then you should be able to access the registration link.......i managed to do so with IE 6......

I found gmax quite fun to work with although there's a dizzying range of modifying options that i've not seen yet :P have already started working on some models........the tutorial ones of course :P

Tutorials are always the perfect place
to start working on many softwares.
I started from that and I eventually
got to do 3D computer graphics for
living.

I'm glad you are looking into Gmax.
It would be very useful to have people
skilled with it and interested in using it.

Ciao ciao!

I've downloaded the Gmax program and installed it, it shows 4 grids for plotting points and different views, plus a bunch of strange buttons, however I have not yet tried to make anything or attempt to do so, I'll see once I get done reading the tutorials, maybe we could try to make that boat/airport that was on another thread, however I doubt it could be moving, but a stationary object would be pretty fine I think... I too had those Independence Day ships in FS2000 that Gergely brought up. Oh, and I have made an airport in AFCAD, a helicopter one w/ 2 rw's, one for large & another for GA planes, plus a bunch of helipads.

Cheers and I'll see if I can figure out how this thing works...

Alex;)

;D i just won the screenshot contest and was wondering about this statement

Quote

Some EHM contests have as first prize a private EHM aircraft. For example the story contest, and it was won by EHM695 Scott (he requested a private TU-154).

Seen as I won a contest, is there any chance of me getting my own private plane.
I am not acting pushy or bragging just wondering, by the way it would be a boeing  737-600 made by PMDG, nice

I would think that if such a prize was going to be awarded that it would have been announce when the contest was started. But in the end it's something that Gergely is going to decide.

Usually for small screenshot contests like this the price is normally screenshot awards.
And of course the honor!  ;D

Hi Jonathan,

for a special prize, like a plane for example, pilots have to work harder, like writing stories for example... not only just pressing the PrintScreen key... ;)

Congrats for the winners!

Gergely

And how should this be inserted or recognized by FS? AFCAD or something similar? Some other compiler maybe?

I am very profficient in Max (Gmax is it's much cheaper child) and if inserting custom buildings is that easy, then hey, will have all our hubs marked! For a start...
