I was happily cruising along earlier on my way to madeira when I took the notion to check and see who else was flying.  So I looked on the whos online page (great feature btw!) and saw something a little strange.

You can see me ok (1152) but the other plane just shows up as EHM.  Also when you click on it, no further info comes up.  :% Any ideas?

Should be easy to fix the problem: Make it impossible to start a new log unless FS is running, then read the fuel when you start a new log. Shouldn't matter if the engines are running or not. (It didn't with my old logger, erm...) ;) I haven't tested this logger and have no idea how it works, but I just want to say that it shouldn't be hard to solve the problem.

Hi everybody,
the 0 fuel problem is solved; it happened with a certain sequence of events and only in FS2004 as far as I noticed (just for curiosity I'll explain: you had to finish a flight without shutting down engines, start the logger while in the main menu and the logger would detect that the engines were on and started the log immediatelly; after that when starting the flight the mess was made). The Logger now detects if you are in the main menu or in a flight mode and records nothing while in menu mode.

About a player ID not showing on the ACARS map, it happens with new pilots: when they first log they have a temporary ID; after submitting the first PIREP, they are assigned a permanet ID, but if they do not log on to the Logger with the new ID and keep flying with the old one, then the server can't find the old ID and so can't present the pilot details on the map. I'm going to update the manual with this warning and suggest that the warning be included in the submitted PIREP page for new pilots.

Magnus, thank you for your suggestions; it's important to hear your oppinion.

I have some more ideas for this Logger and would like to hear yours, even if I don't work on them until this version isn't completely stable.

Thank you all

[1 minute later]
The credits box is a scrolling text box, but with FS running at the same time it doesn't even show; you have to minimize FS to view it. I'll change it to a static box on the next release.

Hey Armando !

I tested the FL like you said , not online though.
It works great, no problem at all.!!

The only confusion I had was with selectin plane and flight... evertime I clicke on either the plane or the class or the division, the tables would change.. :o

But then it appeared to me that they are like on/off buttons..hahaha

So no problems at all this far... Great job!!

offtopic: Thnx again for the FSUIPC file..Another thing, maybe my SB is not that good also.. I have version 2.3.5.... what's the most recent version ??

Regards,

Hi Rico,
thank you for using the Logger. I'm glad you sorted out how it works.

About Squawkbox, the versions I have (and I think are the most current) are:
hostsb.dll - 1.0.2.1
squawkbox.exe - 2.3.0.5

Hope this helps.

Best regards

Woooops...
I tried the "Update" button (out of curiosity)... and I got the following error: "Run-time error '-2147217887 (80040e21)': Multiple-step operation generated errors. Check each status value.", and the logger shuts down.

I am running Windows XP Professional without SP1 or other updates.

I tried the FL on a flight yesterday and it worked fine... I think, but when I saved it I dont know how to bring it back up again to submit it...

Its no big problem I thought something wuld go wrong or I would mess it up somehow and got all the details on paper but just to know how to bring them back up.

Thanks,

Alex;)

I just did a flight with the new flight logger. It was good and had no lag. It was just the fuel. I didnt set it up ir the plane had somin to do with it. It started of at 0 and went to about -38000. Anyone know why?

Please go to Preferences, and follow the sequence number. Click Browse to locate your saved log; there should be a file with a name like this: 074420040525hhmm.log where hhmm is the hour the flight finished
Click Resend to send the PIREP
See the image bellow.

Tim: that is a known issue and I'm going to release a new version wich corrects that problem.

Thank you all

I just finished a flight. It was a pretty short flight. I started the flight at 19:45 local time, was airborne at 19:50, landed at 22:35 and shut down at 22:39. That gives a block time of almost 3 hours. What the logger doesn't consider is that I had paused the game for 1:38 hours. The time being credited to me should be like 1:16 or something, right, and not 2:54?

Since we have to log in to the database on the webserver for the logger to get som data about us pilots to see what aircraft we are allowed to fly, I would like to use this option more. I would like to have a tab/page in the logger similar to the pilot details page on the web. Since the logger already gets some info about the pilot, why not get some more and put it in the logger for the pilot to see/use?
