Since the logger already gets some info about the pilot, why not get some more and put it in the logger for the pilot to see/use?

That's a good suggestion; could you please specify which?

Thanks in advance ;)

How about an option to remember my password so I don't have to enter it every time I start the logger?

Hours logged, rank, hours left for next rank. Those are the most important things I think. That way you can plan your flying a little bit according to your hours so you don't have to fly an extra flight in order to advance in the ranks, just because you're missing 8 minutes, when you could have picked a longer flight instead. Other information is welcome too of course, like preffered countries and so. Put in as much as you want to and there is room for. ;D

Oh! So easy to add the pilot details page like that! Very smart! Why not use something that is already developed? I should have thought about it myself, but I didn't.  :$

Great job!

I see that the logger fills the passengers line with the max number of pax... why not make it random? I mean we are popular, but I don't think our planes fly full ;D

(I guess the answer will be: you can enter 0, and the pirep will generate a random number of pax ;))

I think it's already like that...

(...edited a few hours later...)
I just realized my mistake: if you file
the report manually (on the website)
and you leave the passengers field empty
it puts a random number of passengers.
But I understand only now that the same
is not (yet) happening in the FL...

Ciao ciao!

Tiberiu,
Thank you for your comments; about the password, it was decided that he pilot should allways enter his password for security reasons.
The number of passengers is the max, mainly to help the pilot not ot exceed that number, but I think too that it's better to include a random number.

Bye bye

Ok, thanks for your answers and your patience.

I would like to point out a little bug I found: I start a new log, I start the engines, and then I turn them off. The logger reports: "Run-time error '13': Type mismatch" and shuts down. I don't think it's too serious, because the sequence I described is not a normal one and pilots shouldn't do it.

Oh yeah, and the Credits box look a lot better. Conratulations all on a job well done and well worth improving.

Now how about adding information like the route the pilot is taking by drawing a red line or something on the ACARS map provided and showing the destination as a mouseover?

Seems like our ACARS is becoming a smaller version of ServInfo  ;)

That is a suggestion already made, and I think Maarten will try to study a solution, but for now, he's busy with exams (as most of you I think) ;)

Bye bye

It seems to me that the longitude is shown wrong in the flightlogger. When I'm east of Greenwich the longitude is displayed as 'W' descending as I fly west (towards Greenwich). So it seems to me that the coordinatesystem as been mirrored of course depending on which projection and datum you are using.
Just thought you should know.

Hey all.  I'm not sure if this has been posted yet, but I'm posting it anyways.  I got Flight Logger working but 1/3 of the time when I am in-flight I get a Run time Error 13 message and Flight Logger quits.  Any reason why?

Do you think there is any way on the ACARS page so that it can show the rest of the world? I know that probably 95% of the time we fly in the Europe airspace but some of the times we fly outside too.

Anyway great job!

I havent begun to use it as a flight submitting tool but I do connect it to the ACARS system when I'm flying and I'm connected to the Internet.

Alex;)

Just wondering Alex.  Why do you not use it to submit your flights?

Two reasons for that,

The first is because I usually use FS time for my flights, (I never accelerate the rate or anything like that), that is because I do many trans-atlantic flights (I did a 26 hour flight from EHAM to NZAA before the G.C.), and will do even more since I am an ATP now, so I save the flights.

The second is for the simple reason that the first time I used it on a short flight it did not work correctly, I have used it various times after that and it has worked fine, the problems are of my Computer, not of the logger though, however the more I begin to try it out more the more flights I will submit w/ it, no doubt about that;)

Thanks for your interest:)

Alex;)

What about adding the tours to the flight logger and being able to minamise into the taskbar.

What about having it so you can land and refuel but it wont stop the flight being timed.

Have you selected the flight and plane you would be using?
