Hi all, Hope everyone is OK and enjoying the summer weather, Just had a pop up on my calendar that it is 18 years today since l joined the group, where does the time go, a lot has changed  in the flight Sim world since l started with Fs2004 l am still on FSX l have got it to my liking, so at the moment will not upgrade     l  have spent a lot of money and time getting it there,  still not been able to sort out Altitude for IVAO so spend my time on VATSIM , l don't do as much flying as l used to do, as l find sitting in front of the computer for a long time is not good for my health problems, found it hard at times to do the last event with the long legs in the Pacific,  not one for getting to cruise then autopilot for hours then landing,

Hope you all have a nice Summer and can get away on holidays, Happy flying and safe landings, Best Regards Bruce EHM2131

Wow, Bruce, that's a long time indeed! :D
I have been around EHM almost as long, but you win!

I started out with MSFS98 back in the days, when I got serious about sim flying. Joined EHM in december 2008, according to my profile. I now fly MSFS2020; how far we've gottenn in the mean time!

I must say I agree with you on the sort-of-dull airliner flying. Especially in the more remote areas when there is no ATC around, it is as you describe: fun until cruise, then wait a long time, then fun again on approach and landing. I also have some trouble fitting those longer legs into my daily schedule with a lot going on in my life at the moment. That's why the last two legs are still on my to-do list. I hope to get one in tomorrow.
I will try and come up with a new event that is more G.A. oriented again, with some sorter duration (2 hrs tops) legs, for the next one (nothing created yet; suggestions are welcome ;))

Hi Guys. First of all I must thank Eric for the planning of the island tour and yes some of the legs were long.
You may remember the FI tour, now those legs were very long, I was able to takeoff in the morning, go to work then come back in the evening in time to land.
Somewhat risky but I got away with it. ;D
As I've mentioned before, my Son is working in IT in the Netherlands and has been for 22 years. He is never short of a spare Computer so I can enjoy
my holidays without FS withdrawal symptoms. :)
