I would highly recommend FSScreen. It has a tiny memory and CPU footprint, and more importantly, it just works...

If my memory serves it lacks detailed instructions, so to summarize:-

Copy the FSScreen EXE to where you want the grabbed screen shots to go (it captures to the folder it is executed from...) If you want to make it easier, create a shortcut on the desktop.

Run FSScreen. It'll pop up it's little window, feel free to minimize it.

Run FS, fly, be free... ;D Any time you want to grab a screen shot, hit the Print Screen key and FSScreen will just do it with no muss and no fuss...

I also find it great. Often just doing it normally and using a program to paste it in and save doesn't give the quality thata FSScreen does....not sure why - so I highly recommend it.

And as Murray said : No 'muss', no fuss;D

I tried FSScreen and it works fine but it takes the shots in 1280 x 960 Pixels - the solution of my Screen.

If I want to publish them here on the site I need 800 x 600.

How do I manage to convert my photos to 800 x 600?

I use Microsoft office Picture Manager, but that's only available if you have MS Office installed.

Use most any image software to change resolution, though don't fall fowl of losing too much quality (it happens...)

I would recommend XNView (freeware) that is quite like ACDSee. Picture browser, can also edit quite many things, including the size of course, and batch edit (tell it to resize all the pictures in a folder...)
For good JPEG compression I recommend around 85% compression (more : loss of quality but the size doesn't decrease much, less : the size increases quite much but the quality doesn't improve much).

You can set up the screeshot utility in somewhere in the menus bar and use Ctrl + F11 or any other to take the screeshots. There is also a nice feature, you can take a shot only of the client area, you don't have to fly full screen to take the shot without the bothering windows frames ;) .
