You wonder which is the most stupid thing to do during an EHM event? Well, don't any longer because I just did it last week-end...
My intention was to fly the event leg to Geneve (and possibly the one to Lisbon too) last Sunday. With this in mind, guess what I decided to do on Saturday afternoon? A ProPilot flight to ATLANTA. If you don't get the catch yet, imagine what happened a little later when I tried to lock the event leg to Prague... the travelling mode rule, of course!
I was aware of this rule but was never "hit" by it so I let it slip off my mind. Won't happen again, I swear.
I spent the next hour trying to devise some plan that would get me to Prague, which was a little difficult too as I am not familiar enough with the class 7 aircraft to fly these on ProPilot.
Note that it was only my 2nd ProPilot flight outside Europe, but it had to happen that day. This is some bad luck!
Finally I found a working plan: KATL-EHAM with an A310 then EHAM-LKPR with a F70. These aircraft were available, but this would require me to fly all night - so I gave up.
I did not dare to tell my sad story before I finally flew the event leg to Geneva yesterday, now it looks more funny than annoying.
Just make sure you do not as I did - or face the consequences
