The Fokker 70 is a shortened development of the popular 100 seat Fokker 100. The first production Fokker 70 flew its maiden flight in July 1994. A design aim of the Fokker 70 was to retain as much commonality with the larger Fokker 100 as possible. As a result they share essentially identical wings, airframes and systems.

With Fokkers collapse in 1996, the Fokker 10070 production line closed in early 1997. Despite Fokkers financial failure the 70 remains popular with its operators. The Fokker 70 has now been retired from our active fleet to make way for the AN-148 but you are free to fly it still in our historic hangar.
